A
year of change
As
we come to the end of 2016 I look back and reflect on a
year that brought us significant change and
unprecedented events: Britain votes to leave the EU,
Donald Trump wins the American presidency and Leicester
City take the premiership title at odds of 5000/1 – who
would have predicted that?
Here at GfA 2016 was
once again a positive year with year-on-year sales
growth, new products brought to market and our social
media presence further expanded with the launch of our
GfA
UK You Tube channel which has already had more than
2,300 visits and is now being used by customers around
the world.
Looking
ahead to 2017
Our
Industry is becoming increasingly high- tech and
for those companies who have invested in new technology
and endeavour to stay ahead of the curve there will be
opportunities to apply specialist applications to tackle
increasingly complex challenges - doors equipped for
terrorist attacks and doors, drive equipment and
controls designed for the harshest of
environments.
As always from GfA UK you can
expect support for these specialist opportunities
through innovation from our European supplier base and
specialist technical help from our experienced team of
engineers. The legacy of 2016 is one of change, and as
we look forward to 2017 we are faced with uncertainty
and challenges but all we can do is plan for what we can
control. Being a natural optimist with over 25-years
experience in the industry I’m sure we all will adapt
and rather than merely survive –
thrive! |
