GfA wins the Grand Prize for Medium-Sized Businesses

On 24 September 2022, GfA ELEKTROMATEN GmbH & Co. KG was awarded the 28th "Grand Prize for Medium-Sized Businesses".

The Grand Prize for Medium-Sized Businesses is one of the most prestigious German business awards and can be won only once. The prize is awarded annually by the Leipzig-based Oskar Patzelt Foundation. The aim of the Foundation is to honour the medium-sized business sector as the engine of the German economy. Medium-sized businesses provide 70 per cent of all jobs and 80 per cent of apprenticeships.

The prize is awarded to companies that have made a special contribution to the medium-sized business sector and have demonstrated great social and regional commitment. This year, GfA is one of four companies from North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) that convinced the jury in the five competition categories.

In 2019, we already made it into the top ten and were named a "Finalist".

As a result of working continuously to improve our company processes, to which all employees contributed with great commitment, we have now been successful once again. Out of 407 nominated applicants from NRW, we came out on top and won the main prize.

The award ceremony took place at an evening event in front of 400 entrepreneurs and numerous other invited guests at the Maritim Hotel in Düsseldorf. The prize was presented by the Directors of the Oskar Patzelt Foundation, Ms Petra Tröger and Dr Helfried Schmidt.

GfA wishes to thank the Office for Economic Development of the City of Neuss, the Economic Development Department of the Rhine District of Neuss, IMB GmbH & Co. KG of Grevenbroich, W. Kolb Fertigungstechnik GmbH of Willich and Kunststoffverarbeitung Hoffmann GmbH of Neuhaus for their nominations and to the jury of the North Rhine-Westphalia competition region for selecting us as the award winner.
